I am thankful for so much this year. Big moves were made professionally and personally, I’m sure you feel the same too. This week on my Instagram we’re celebrating all the achievements! Send me a dm @Chikaobihcpa telling me about your money moves this year. I want to promote your business and celebrate your wins!!
As a business owner and entrepreneur (ESPECIALLY online) it’s easy to compare yourself to others. You see the Instagram accounts with 10k+ followers and think “I should be there”. When you’re behind a screen it can be easy to compare… Don’t fall into that trap when it comes to reflecting on your year.
What does comparison do for us?
It makes us work overtime and over think. You constantly feel like you’re not doing enough because you will constantly be chasing what someone else is doing. Comparing yourself to others means there will always be something bigger and better. You will run yourself dry.
I learned this the hard way. I was constantly comparing my business to others online. It made me feel insecure. It did not allow me to celebrate my own wins. Pushing through this mindset has proven to be the best thing I could do for my mental health and sense of worth.
The only person you should be comparing yourself to is who you were yesterday.
It doesn’t matter if Amy’s Reel got 30k views or Tina’s masterclass had 100 attendees. They are not you. Focus on where you were one year ago vs. where you are now. How have you improved in your own way? What achievements made you feel good? What have you learned that will stick with you forever?
For me, I am thankful for my VIP Day offer. So far this year I’ve helped save business owners like you close to $200,000 in taxes. This year I began implementing a business model that I always thought to be impossible. One that would add the highest transformation for my clients while working in my zone of genius. I serve my clients one-on-one while maintaining my own personal boundaries.
I am also thankful for giving myself grace. I have always been so hard on myself, constantly asking myself what I could do better without giving myself the space to just be.
This year I learned to just be. I learned to slow down and be kind to myself. When things got overwhelming I took care of myself. I took naps, I got massages, I indulged in Netflix binges when I was tired! I didn’t get mad at my body or brain when I was tired. I listened and gave myself rest WITHOUT GUILT.
I am thankful for friends and family who do not judge me. I am thankful for the people who celebrated my small wins even when I couldn’t.
The point of this email is to let you know that your wins are valid. Your success is valid. Don’t compare yourself to others because you will never see how much progress you’ve made. Celebrate you!
Let’s begin the celebration: tell me one win you’ve had this year. I cannot wait to cheer you on. Send me a DM on instagram @Chikaobihcpa
