It’s April 5th and by this point, everyone knows COVID-19 is here to stay. Many states have extended the stay-at-home order for another 30 days, some as late as June 10 (omg). It’s no longer just a random hiccup in our lives – staying home is our new reality. 

This quarantine has put a damper in our routines, but we cannot let it completely take over. Even though everything is weird right now, staying healthy is still a priority. Fitness, sweating and exercise are more important than ever. If we’re lucky enough to stay illness-free during these trying times, then we’re truly blessed. Let’s take advantage of that and invest in ourselves. 

I’m not all about work. My online business-minded community of entrepreneurs, the BLT, is all about building a happy life balance that includes work, fitness, relationships and mental health. Right now it’s killing me that I can’t hit up hot yoga class in the mornings at my local yoga studio, but I can’t forget that there are other at-home options to get my workout on. 

Youtube University offers FREE fitness videos on literally any subject you can think of. Cardio, yoga, HIIT, strength training, afrofunk dance classes, arm workouts, booty lifting workouts, flat belly challenges, 5 minute classes, 45 minute bootcamp…the options are endless. There are classes that can be done at home and require no equipment. Whether if’ts talking a walk outside or tuning into a Youtube video, I’ve committed to doing something active everyday for the next 30 days and these channels have been helpingme accomplish that goal while keeping things interesting.

Let me repeat myself…all of these channels focus on equipment-less workouts you can do it right in your living room for FREE. C’mon, know you got 30 minutes to spare – why not make health a priority?
